Returned sterilizers must be in new unused condition, will be charged a 20% restocking fee and shipping cost is non-refundable.
Sterilizers cannot be shipped to Canada or Europe as we do not have the CSA certification.
All American non-electric sterilizers require an effective external heat source. They do not include an electric heating element and should be selected only when your work area has a suitable stove or burner available.
All American non-electric sterilizers are not recommended for glass top or flat ranges because the weight may cause glass or ceramic surfaces to break. The diameter of the sterilizer may also be larger than many burners and may cause heat to transfer outward and damage the surrounding range surface.
Attention Buyers: These items are sterilizers, not canners. They are not suitable for use as canners.
The sterilizer period begins when the pressure steam gauge needle registers in the green sterilization band on the face of the gauge and a minimum of 17 PSI has been reached. The time required before this period will vary depending on the size of the sterilizer, the heat source, and the temperature of the water used.
Consult our Sterilizer Maintenance Guide for suggested maintenance, cleaning, parts replacement intervals, and common problems.

How to Choose a Stovetop Sterilizer
Choose the 1925X when you want a more compact non-electric sterilizer with a 17.6 Qt inner container capacity. This model is a good fit when bench or storage space matters and your load size is moderate.
Choose the 1941X when you need more room for larger loads or higher daily instrument volume. The larger 27.9 Qt inner container capacity gives more working space while keeping the same non-electric operating style.
Heat Source Requirements
Stovetop autoclave sterilizers must be used with an appropriate external heat source capable of bringing the sterilizer up to the required pressure and temperature range. Always follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions and confirm that your heat source is suitable before ordering.
Why Glass Top and Flat Ranges Are Not Recommended
These sterilizers are heavy when filled and may extend beyond the burner area. On glass or ceramic tops, that combination can create breakage and heat-transfer risks. A conventional, properly sized external heat source is the safer choice for these non-electric models.
Stovetop vs. Electric Autoclave Sterilizers
Choose a stovetop model when you prefer non-electric operation or need a unit for a setting where external heat is already available. Choose an electric benchtop sterilizer when you want a self-contained unit with its own heating element for countertop use.
